Why Does the U.S. Have Warships in the Persian Gulf?
We have several battleships stationed in the Persian Gulf. Our ships patrol the Straits of Hormuz, where the incident took place between the Republican Guard and the U.S. Navy. Most of the ocean traffic there is oil tankers going in and out of the Gulf waters.
Iran also has oil tankers going in and out of the Straits. First, the Iranians protect their tankers. Secondly, the U.S. Navy is protecting the tankers for the International Oil Companies now handling Iraqi oil.
The question is….should the United States military be involved in the protection of a product that is handled by huge Corporate interests? These battleships are not protecting Americans. They are not engaged in the protection of any American interest. Instead, they are protecting huge corporations who are making big profits off the oil they sell. The question is, should these battleships hover off the coast of Iran at a huge cost to taxpayers? Or should these Corporations pay for their own protection?

I don’t think the tape was fabricated. Whats interesting about the tape is that the supposed Iranians speak perfect english and are very calm to the point that the message is bleak. Also, I would be surprised if the speed boats even had a radio. If Iran were threatening the warships, why would they use speed boats? Are you telling me Iran doesn’t have any ships larger than speed boats? Speed boats vs. U.S. warships is no competition.
Now what about about the tape and confrontation being real? I think the tape is 100% real, but the confrontation is 100% false. The reason I think this is because I think that the tape is a recording of one of the training exercises the U.S. warships performed. It is widely known that U.S. has had major training exercises over there in those waters. Why wouldn’t they have a training exercise to learn from the mistakes of the U.S.S. Cole that got hit by a speed boat with a bomb loaded on it?
This is the most logical possibility. Why would they lie about this video and say if it happens again that consequences will be dire? Because then the U.S. could stalk Iranian vessels and open fire without any repercussions from the international community. It boils down to our word against theirs. I think this is the whole purpose of the tape.
The war drums are beating.
